The Seahawks have agreed to a deal with PFW's best free agent still available, former Raiders TE Zach Miller.

ESPN's John Clayton and Mike Sando first reported that Miller who has 12 touchdowns in four seasons, will head to Seattle. The team later reportedly confirmed the acquisition.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the contract is five years, worth $34 million with $17 million guaranteed.

Miller, who made the Pro Bowl last season, has started every game but three in his four-year career. He had 60 catches for 685 yards and five scores last season. Oakland reportedly wanted to re-sign him, but Pete Carroll and the Seahawks won out in the end.

The way we see it

This appears to be a luxury signing for the Seahawks. They already have a solid pass-catching tight end in John Carlson, but adding Miller certainly upgrades the offense. The team could be parting ways with Carlson, though, considering the contract they gave Miller.

For the Raiders, they may want to go look for a veteran tight end to replace their leading receiver from last year. They did draft Miami (Fla.) TE Richard Gordon in Round Six in April.
