The Rams signed former Packers LB Brady Poppinga on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Poppinga, who was cut by the Packers last week, played in just six games last season because of injury. He is coming off the second knee reconstruction of his career.

Poppinga has 244 career tackles and five sacks in six seasons. He has logged 44 career starts.

The way we see it

Poppinga must have passed his physical to join the Rams, and he could challenge to start at strong-side linebacker, but will most likely just add depth to the unit.
