The Dolphins cut veteran ILB Tim Dobbins. He was due to make $1.7 million in 2011.

Dobbins played in all 16 games with six starts last season, recording 47 tackles and one sack. He filled in when Channing Crowder was hurt.

The team cut Crowder last week, but did sign former Chargers ILB Kevin Burnett. A.J. Edds, a 2010 fourth-round draft pick, is also back after missing his rookie season with a torn ACL.
