The Vikings, who were rumored to have interest in OLT Jermon Bushrod, signed former Colts OT Charlie Johnson on Monday.
Johnson, 27, has started 54 career games. As Peyton Manning's blind-side tackle last season, Johnson started 15 games. He started all 16 games in 2008.
The way see it
Manning did say he wanted Johnson to remain, but the team decided it had other priorities. The Colts drafted Anthony Castonzo to be the tackle of the future. Johnson adds depth to the Vikings' tackle position with Bryant McKinnie and Phil Loadholt.
