Eagles CB Asante Samuel reported to the club's training camp Monday, the team said.

The Eagles have revamped their secondary in recent days, signing former Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, one of the game's best at his position, and trading for talented Cardinals CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Samuel will take a physical, the club said, and he'll be at the Monday afternoon practice, but it's not yet certain whether he'll be a spectator or participant.

The 30-year-old Samuel is one of the top playmakers at his position. He intercepted seven passes a season ago and has 42 career interceptions. Should he remain in Philadelphia — speculation about his future has been a topic of discussion since the Asomugha acquisition — the Eagles will have an exceptional top three cornerbacks.
