OT Barry Richardson signed his restricted free-agent tender on Monday and will report to Chiefs training camp soon.
The veteran was given a second-round tender before the lockout began, and there was little doubt that he would return to Kansas City. He started all 16 games for the team last year at right tackle and is penciled in as the starter at that position again this year.
CB Brandon Carr is the Chiefs' only remaining unsigned restricted free agent.
The way we see it
Richardson is a solid player, but there is still a need for help on the Chiefs offensive line. Expect another signing soon, as the team would be wise to bring in a veteran tackle to compete with Richardson for the right tackle job.
