The Seahawks agreed to terms with DL Ryan Sims and plan to sign him on Monday, according to multiple reports.
Sims played in just six games in 2010 with one start for the Buccaneers, recording four tackles. He missed time with a knee injury and was released in November.
The No. 6 overall pick of the 2002 draft by the Chiefs, Sims started all 16 games in '09, recording 25 tackles. He spent the last four seasons in Tampa.
The way we see it
Sims has yet to come close to living up to the potential of his draft position and will look to revive his career in Seattle. The Seahawks re-signed two D-linemen already this offseason, Brandon Mebane and Junior Siavii. It is not expected that Raheem Brock will return.
