The top fullback on the free-agency market has a new home. Former Texans FB Vonta Leach signed a three-year, $11 million deal with the Ravens, PFW correspondent and Houston Chronicle writer John McClain reported.
Leach was a first-team All-Pro fullback last season, as he helped pave the way for the league's leading rusher, Arian Foster.
Leach began his career with the Packers in 2004 and has spent the last five seasons with the Texans. He has two career rushing touchdowns and four career receiving scores.
According to McClain, the Texans couldn't match the Ravens' offer.
The way we see it
The Ravens now get a fullback to create holes for RB Ray Rice, who is entering the prime of his career. Leach will likely replace FB Le'Ron McClain.
In Houston, backup TE James Casey is expected to get a shot at the starting fullback job. The team will also bring in a veteran, McClain tweeted.
