The Chiefs have agreed to a contract with former Chargers ILB Brandon Siler, giving them more depth and quickness in their linebacking corps; the final deal is pending a physical.

Siler fell out of favor with his coaches in San Diego due to a lack of production, registering only 44 tackles in 12 games a year ago. He does have good speed, however, and could find a nice role in a rotation with Kansas City ILBs Derrick Johnson and Jovan Belcher.

He also should be able to contribute on coverage teams for the Chiefs, as he was second on the Chargers a year ago in special-teams tackles.
