After selecting two tight ends in the draft in April, the Broncos added to the position on Sunday by adding a pair of players to the depth chart, Dante Rosario and Daniel Fells.
Rosario, who played for current Denver head coach John Fox the past four seasons with the Panthers, is an athletic pass catcher who had a career-high 32 receptions in 2010.
Fells, a former Ram, is a bigger body who will help replace the loss of blocking TE Daniel Graham, who signed with the Titans. Last season in St. Louis, Fells had 41 catches for 391 yards and two TDs.
Unless the team is planning on keeping four tight ends on the active roster, it would appear that rookies Julius Thomas (fourth round) and Virgil Green (seventh round) will be battling during the preseason for a spot.
