The Vikings have added a tall target for new QB Donovan McNabb, in the form of ex-Falcons WR Michael Jenkins. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported it is a three-year deal.
Released by Atlanta earlier in the week, Jenkins joins a receiving corps that needed a replacement for Sidney Rice, who left in free agency for the Seahawks.
Drafted in the first round of the 2004 draft, Jenkins played seven seasons in Atlanta, first as a target for Michael Vick and then for Matt Ryan. He never topped 55 receptions or 800 receiving yards in a season.
New Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave knows Jenkins well, as he spent five seasons with the Falcons before coming to Minnesota this offseason.
