The Titans and free-agent LB Barrett Ruud agreed to a one-year contract on Saturday. The deal was first reported by PFW correspondent Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.

Ruud, who had spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Buccaneers, is expected to be the starting middle linebacker for the Titans. He registered 118 tackles in 2010, making it his fourth-straight season with 100 tackles or more.

The acquisition of Ruud also means that free-agent LB Stephen Tulloch, a Titan for the past five seasons, is likely signing elsewhere.
