The Redskins cut former first-round OT Mike Williams on Saturday. Williams missed the entire 2010 season because of blood clots.

Williams was the fourth overall pick in the 2002 NFL draft by the Bills. He spent four seasons in Buffalo, but didn't play in a single game from 2006-2008. He started eight games in '09 with the Redskins.

Williams, 31, hoped to compete for the starting right tackle spot last offseason before the diagnosis.
