The Rams have signed DT Justin Bannan to a three-year contract, solidifying their defensive front, according to multiple reports.

Bannan, who played last season with the Broncos, is entering his 10th season in the NFL. He's also spent time with the Bills and Ravens. In 2010, he started all 16 games for the Broncos, registering 35 tackles.

In St. Louis, he'll be reunited with his coach for most of last season, Josh McDaniels, who is now the Rams' offensive coordinator.

The way we see it

The Rams were looking for a run stuffer to play alongside Fred Robbins and appear to have found that in Bannan. He could step right in and start, as the team is not expected to re-sign DT Gary Gibson.
