With free-agent OG Daryn Colledge splitting the scene for Arizona, we hear the early front runner in a very crowded race for the starting OLG job is probably Nick McDonald. The undrafted second-year pro was inactive for every game as a rookie, but word is the Packers have become more than a little impressed with McDonald's size (6-4, 316 pounds) and smarts, despite the fact he got knocked around pretty good in last year's training camp playing mostly center. Others very much in the running to replace Colledge include third-year pro T.J. Lang, second-year pro Marshall Newhouse, sixth-round rookie Caleb Schlauderaff, undrafted rookie sleeper Ray Dominguez and possibly first-round rookie Derek Sherrod, who up to now has only been told that he will be a "left-side" player. We hear it could be more likely Lang will be the No. 2 right tackle behind 2010 first-rounder Bryan Bulaga.
