The Eagles have traded DT Brodrick Bunkley to the Browns for fifth-round pick in the 2012 NFL draft. Bunkley was made expendable by the team's acquisition of free-agent DT Cullen Jenkins earlier on Saturday.

The lineman was considered a bit of a disappointment with the Eagles, never living up to the hype after being selected 14th overall in the 2006 draft. During his five years with the team, he registered 144 tackles and six sacks.

Browns GM Tom Heckert is familiar with Bunkley, as he was the Eagles' VP of player personnel from 2001-09.

The Eagles also announced they re-signed LB Akeem Jordan to a one-year deal. Last season, he played in all 16 games for Philly, mainly on special teams. He finished the season with 26 tackles after recording 71 in 2009.
