CB Nate Clements, who was released by the 49ers on Thursday, has agreed to a contract with the Bengals. The news was first reported by NFL Network's Jason La Canfora
Clements was a salary-cap casualty in San Francisco, as the team shed his $17 million cap figure upon his release. He signed an eight-year, $80 million contract with the 49ers in 2007.
The Bengals, who lost CB Johnathan Joseph to the Texans in free agency, have been quiet in free agency thus far despite having plenty of cap space. Terms of Clements' contract with Cincinnati have not been disclosed.
Clements has played in 150 career games in ten seasons. He has 33 career interceptions.
