After missing out on FS Eric Weddle, who chose to re-sign with the Chargers, the Jaguars appear to be fixing their secondary issues by signing former Ravens FS Dawan Landry.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Landry and the team are close to agreeing upon a five-year contract that will be made official later on Friday.

Landry, who is set to enter his sixth year in the NFL, has been a good defender on the vaunted Baltimore defense. He has started all 16 games in three of the past four seasons, and in 2010, he set a career high with 111 tackles. For his career he has nine interceptions, three of which have been returned for touchdowns.

The Jaguars ranked 28th in the NFL in pass defense last season, and playing in a division that features QB Peyton Manning and WR Andre Johnson, playmakers on the back end was a huge priority for the team this offseason.
