The Patriots' first reported draft pick to sign was sixth-round OLB-DE Markell Carter.

"We're excited for Markell to live out his childhood dream and hopefully go in and help continue the success of the Patriots," said his agent Alvin Nelson, according to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss.

Carter agreed to a four-year deal. According to Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, Carter received a $94,000 signing bonus.

Wilson reported later on Wednesday that the team agreed to terms with fifth-round TE Lee Smith. Smith got a $171,480 signing bonus.

Third-round RB Stevan Ridley signed his contract Thursday morning.

The team announced early Thursday evening that seventh-round DB Malcolm Williams signed his rookie contract as well.

On Friday, the Patriots announced the signings of third-round QB Ryan Mallett and fifth-round OL Marcus Cannon.
