Former Jets CB Drew Coleman agreed to a three-year deal with the Jaguars. Jenny Vrentas of The (Newark) Star-Ledger first reported the news.

The three-year deal is worth $7.4 million, according to Vrentas.

Coleman's 2010 season was his best as a pro. He played in 16 games with four starts, recording 41 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception.

The Jets had offered Coleman a sixth-round tender before the lockout. With the new CBA, he was an unrestricted free agent.

Coleman, who is entering his sixth NFL season, is expected to compete to play nickel back in Jacksonville.
