The Redskins will cut three veteran linemen Thursday afternoon — C Casey Rabach, DE Phillip Daniels and DT Ma'ake Kemoeatu.
Rabach told The Associated Press in a text message that the 'Skins told him they were "going younger and had enough depth" on the O-line. Rabach had missed just one start in six seasons with the Redskins.
Daniels announced on his Twitter page that he got released. The 38-year-old played in 14 games last season with one start, recording 21 tackles. He had started 15 games each of the three previous seasons.
Kemoeatu started 12 games in his first season in Washington in 2010, recording 29 tackles.
The Redskins agreed to terms with former Giants DT Barry Cofield and are rumored to be in the running for Cullen Jenkins.
