The Eagles placed two players on the physically-unable-to-perform List on Thursday, keeping them out of practice for the near future.
DE Brandon Graham, who underwent microfracture knee surgery last December, is still rehabbing. He is expected to be on the PUP list when the regular season begins, which would keep him out a minimum of six games. As insurance, the Eagles signed DE Jason Babin on Thursday to a five-year contract.
OT Winston Justice had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in February, an injury that is limiting his ability to practice. He could be ready to return to the lineup by Week One, which is Sept. 11.
Eagles management also announced that WR Jeremy Maclin and CB Asante Samuel were granted excused absences from the start of training camp because of personal reasons.
