The Saints have agreed to deals to re-sign WR Lance Moore and add OLB Will Herring.
In an ode to NBA star LeBron James, Moore tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that "this process has been pretty crazy. The Decision coming shortly." Eleven minutes later, he posted again, this time writing "Welp, its been real New Orleans........But let's make the next five years even more real. I'm coming back baby!"
Moore, one of Drew Brees' favorite targets, has caught 20 touchdowns total over the past three years. After a rough 2009, the receiver caught 66 passes last season for 763 yards.
The team also will sign former Seahawks OLB Will Herring to a three-year contract, PFW correspondent Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported on Wednesday. Herring's agent, George Mavrikes, confirmed the deal to Triplett.
Mostly a special-teams player in Seattle, Herring has 109 career tackles in four professional seasons. The 27-year-old has started seven career games.
