WR Steve Breaston will reunite with Todd Haley as the newest member of the Chiefs. Sports Illustrated's Jim Trotter reported that Kansas City agreed to terms with the 27-year-old wideout on a five-year deal with $9.5 million guaranteed.
Breaston has spent all four of his NFL seasons with the Cardinals. He had 47 catches for 718 yards and a touchdown in 13 games in 2010. He gained a career-best 1,008 receiving yards in 2008.
Haley was Breaston's offensive coordinator in Arizona in 2007 and '08.
The way we see it
The Chiefs have made it no secret they want more talent at wide receiver to complement Dwayne Bowe. They used their first pick of April's draft to select WR Jonathan Baldwin. Breaston should help the offense with his speed from the slot.
