The Patriots were the first team to vote for recertification of the NFLPA, and it was a unanimous vote according to Ron Borges of the Boston Herald.

The Pats had a "lengthy meeting" with NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith before the vote. On Monday, when the players agreed to terms on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, the 32 player reps voted unanimously to recommend recertification as a union to the rest of the players, NFL Network's Albert Breer reported.

When the union is fully recertified, players will regain bargaining rights to negotiate the final aspects to the new CBA.
