The Seahawks are reportedly trying to reunite Matt Leinart with his college coach Pete Carroll, but Leinart says he is still weighing his options.

According to ESPN, the Seahawks agreed to a deal with Leinart on Tuesday, the same day they decided not to re-sign Matt Hasselbeck and then agreed to terms with QB Tarvaris Jackson.

But Leinart refuted the report on his Twitter page: "Just wanted to say I have not signed with Seattle amongst all the speculation. I am still weighing the options. Keep you posted."

A former first-round pick, Leinart did not play last season in Houston after struggling in four seasons with the Cardinals. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2004 with USC under Carroll.

Should he sign with Seattle, Leinart would compete with Tarvaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst to be the Seahawks' starting quarterback.
