The 49ers agreed to re-sign DE Ray McDonald to a five-year deal. Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee first reported the move.

McDonald played in all 16 games last season, recording 19 tackles and had an interception return for a touchdown. He started nine games in 2008.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the deal is worth $20 million, with $7 million guaranteed.
