The Chargers will release LB Jyles Tucker when waivers begin on Thursday afternoon.
San Diego Union-Tribune writer Kevin Acee reported that the Chargers will part ways with the fifth-year player. Tucker recorded 5½ sacks in 2008, but played in just three games last season and landed on injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle.
Tucker also ended the '09 season on I.R. with an ankle injury. He was due $1 million in 2011.
