The Ravens announced Tuesday that they have agreed to terms on a multi-year deal with OG-OT Marshal Yanda.

"We got Marshal Yanda! That's great news," said head coach John Harbaugh, according to the team's website. "He told us he wanted to be a Raven and he understood the business part that he had to go through. I'm beaming, you see Ozzie smile and is there anyone more excited than (offensive line coach) Andy Moeller right now? We're a better team than we were one hour ago."

Yanda, a third-round pick in 2007, started all 16 games at right tackle last season, replacing the injured Jared Gaither.

"It fires me up," said Moeller. "He's one of our guys. He's a true Raven. It gives me a sense of relief."

Yanda cannot officially sign his contract until Friday at 6 p.m. ET.

The way we see it

Harbaugh said back in February that signing Yanda would be a priority, and that sentiment did not change throughout the lockout. It's clear that Yanda's versatility is important on the O-line, as the team wasted no time agreeing to terms.
