Packers CB Brandon Underwood pleaded not guilty to a disorderly conduct charge, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.

The charge is related to an incident on June 16, when Underwood allegedly ripped a necklace off his wife, as well as pulling her out of a car and throwing her to the ground. It was the night the Packers received their Super Bowl rings at Lambeau Field.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 13, with a trial set for Sept. 26. It is a misdemeanor charge with a penalty of up to $1,000 and 90 days in jail.

Underwood played in 12 games last season, his second NFL campaign after being a sixth-round pick by the team in the 2009 draft.
