After spending all summer fixing the Metrodome's roof, workers in Minnesota are now dealing with a new issue involving the Vikings home stadium: mold.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the stadium's turf has become infested with bacteria, requiring a complete overhaul of the playing surface. The mold is a result of the storm last December that caused the dome's roof to collapse, dumping pounds of snow and ice onto the field.

The Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission, which owns the building, will likely replace the turf. The newspaper projects the job will cost around $600,000 and be covered by insurance. Roof workers at the dome would not be delayed by the turf issue.
