Former Pro Bowl C Forrest Blue passed away last Saturday. He was 65. A cause of death was not announced.

Blue played much of his career with the 49ers after being selected by the team in the first round of the 1968 draft out of Auburn. He went to four Pro Bowls as a member of the team and helped the franchise win three division titles between 1970-72.

He also played four seasons with the Baltimore Colts before retiring in 1978.

According to The Associated Press, Blue returned to California after his football career was over, founding Forrest Blue Properties Inc., a development company in Penryn, Calif.
