Jim McMahon, a 15-year NFL veteran who won two Super Bowls, was involved in a car accident on Monday afternoon south of Reno, Nev. He was hospitalized after a limousine he was riding in crashed through a fence and into a pasture, according to the Associated Press.
The accident took place on U.S. 395 in Pleasant Valley, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported. McMahon was the passenger in a limousine that swerved off a four-lane highway.
The Patrol said that both McMahon and the limo driver were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, but that neither suffered injuries that were "non-incapacitating."
McMahon, who was the starting quarterback for the Bears in Super Bowl XX, was in Lake Tahoe over the weekend competing in a celebrity golf tournament.
