It's no secret the Ravens aren't lacking in free agents that will be desirable to other clubs and that they could have a productive start to the new league year by simply re-signing some of their own players. However, if that fails, the team will have some options. It is expected to work hard to bring back potential UFA OG-OT Marshal Yanda, but overall, the free-agent guard pool is quite good, giving Baltimore some alternatives should Yanda, who's probably best suited inside, depart. Likewise, cornerback is also a deep position. A daily team observer says the Ravens figure to retain one of their starting corners from a season ago (UFA Chris Carr and potential UFA Josh Wilson). However, if both were to sign elsewhere, the Ravens probably wouldn't be lacking for potential veteran replacement candidates. However, not every position is as strong as guard and cornerback; for example, should the Ravens lose UFA QB Marc Bulger, it could be tough for them to find an accomplished veteran QB.
