Steelers president Art Rooney II issued a brief statement on Wednesday about the article in the latest issue of Men's Journal about OLB James Harrison. In the piece, Harrison criticizes NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
"I have not yet seen the article in Men's Journal nor have I spoken to James Harrison about his comments," Rooney said. "We will discuss the situation at the appropriate time, when permitted once the labor situation is resolved."
In the article, Harrison calls Goodell a "crook," a "devil," "stupid,' "a puppet" and "a dictator." He also uses an anti-gay slur to describe the commissioner .
On Roethlisberger, the linebacker says the quarterback needs "stop trying to act like Peyton Manning," in reference to the two Super Bowl interceptions Big Ben threw last February.
