Pro Football Weekly's readers believe that WR Terrell Owens one day will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to the results of a recent web poll.

However, the Owens' backers were not overwhelmingly in the majority, with 54.8 percent of respondents saying Owens is a Hall of Famer and 45.2 percent saying he is not.

Owens, who had ACL surgery in April and is unsigned for the 2011 season, has 1,078 career catches for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. The five-time first-team All-Pro turns 38 in December.

Despite such overwhelmingly impressive numbers, his off-field antics and sometimes divisive conduct have led to him playing for five teams in the past eight seasons. He spent his first eight seasons with the 49ers before wearing out his welcome there. He also left on bad terms from Philadelphia and Dallas before single seasons in Buffalo and Cincinnati the past two years.
