Terrell Owens has been accused of failing to pay child support.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that Melanie Paige Smith, the mother of Owens' child, filed court papers on June 20 in Atlanta seeking to hold Owens in contempt.

Attorney Randall Kessler said Owens has refused to pay the full $5,000 for the month of June and that Owens' financial advisers said the wideout decided to no longer pay the full amount.

Owens underwent surgery to repair an ACL this offseason and is hoping to play a 16th NFL season.
