For those craving football this summer, more Canadian Football League games will be available on the NFL Network.
The CFL and NFL Network announced Tuesday that two games per week would be broadcast in the United States this season. The NFL Network also has the option to show additional regular-season games, the CFL playoffs and the Grey Cup championship game.
"This is very positive news for our CFL fans living in the United States," said Michael Copeland, chief operating officer of the CFL. "And it's a very positive development for our football operations as it will continue to expose our product to prospects across the U.S."
The NFL Network carried 14 CFL games last season. This year's CFL season begins June 30 as British Columbia takes on the defending Grey Cup champopns, Montreal.
The CFL also announced Tuesday that all its games will be aired on ESPN3.
