Falcons CB Chris Owens is being investigated by suburban Atlanta police for trashing the apartment of his ex-girlfriend and destroying many of her valuable possessions, according to an internet report.

The website reported on Wednesday that last Sunday night, Owens entered the residence of LaTia Terry, the mother of Owens' nine-month-old child. He then proceeded to smash holes in the walls, break a TV set, throw lamps and even destroy the baby's crib. The report also states that the cornerback put jewelry, clothing, shoes and photos of the former couple into a pile and poured bleach on all of them.

The Gwinnett County Police are investigating the report; Terry has obtained a restraining order against Owens in the meantime.

Owens started three games for the Falcons last season and registered one interception.
