Lions WR Nate Burleson will have minor surgery on his right elbow, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

Burleson injured the elbow in a Week 11 loss to the Cowboys last season and has had periodic problems with swelling. He will have a bursa sac removed and have fluid drained from the elbow, according to the paper.

Burleson caught 55 passes 625 yards and six touchdowns in 2010.
