The Jets have a real interest in adding WR Randy Moss to their receiving corps, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
It's possible that WRs Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards and Brad Smith all could become unrestricted free agents when the new league year begins, with the team unlikely to be able to afford to re-sign all three.
The Jets would have "more than a cursory interest in Moss if Holmes or Edwards doesn't return," according to Mehta's sources.
Edwards led the Jets with 101 targets last season, with Holmes finishing third with 96 targets despite missing the first four games of the season. The pair accounted for 37.7 percent of the team's 523 passing attempts.
