Panthers LB Jon Beason was victorious in a Charlotte courthouse on Thursday in a civil case where a man accused the player of punching him in the face at a strip club.

According to the Associated Press, Beason testified that he confronted Gregory Frye at the Uptown Cabaret in November 2009 after he heard Frye telling other patrons that the linebacker had been seen snorting cocaine at a party. Beason, who said he's never used illegal drugs or failed a NFL drug test, said he tried to take a swing at Frye, but was held back by friends and didn't hit him.

The jury ruled that a punch was not thrown; Beason also was awarded $1 in damages for slander.
