The Buccaneers will not be featured on this year's version of the HBO television show "Hard Knocks."

It had been widely reported that the Bucs were a front-runner to be featured this year, in part because of the up-and-coming status of QB Josh Freeman and the success of their head coach, Raheem Morris.

"We have respectfully declined this year's 'Hard Knocks' invitation. Wonderful show, but the team wants to keep the focus on the field in 2011," the Buccaneers said in a statement.

Of course, if the lockout keeps teams from holding training camps, it's possible that there won't be a show this season.
