Steelers SS Troy Polamalu is one of the most feared defenders in the NFL and a two-time Super Bowl champion. As of last Friday, he is also a college graduate.

Polamalu received his degree last week from USC, completing his bachelor's degree in history after he left school early in 2003 to enter the league. He was one of more than 1,000 graduates on the Los Angeles campus to earn his diploma last week.

"I'm officially a USC graduate!" Polamalu wrote on his website, according to the Associated Press. "The majority of top picks in the NFL get drafted before they complete their college education. I truly love football and it's such an immense blessing and privilege as an athlete to be given the rare opportunity to use those talents at the highest professional level, but it's certainly not a replacement for an education."
