The Cardinals have had preliminary discussions with the Broncos concerning QB Kyle Orton, according to 3TV Sports in Arizona.

The report states that Arizona has interest in Orton as a "Plan B" if the organization is not able to acquire Eagles QB Kevin Kolb. No trades can take place under the current NFL lockout rules.

Orton threw for 3,653 yards and 20 touchdowns in 13 starts last season. He was benched for the final three games in favor of QB Tim Tebow.
