The fantasy prospects for the Lions appear very good. They suddenly are loaded with offensive talent. How that impacts the individual receivers — minus the special Calvin Johnson — remains to be seen. But the ball can only go so many places at once.
Second-round WR Titus Young is not the luxury pick some would believe. He instantly will push Derrick Williams out of the slot position and give the Lions a strong top three receivers in Johnson, Nate Burleson and Young. Not having that third receiver really limited the Lions last season.
Throw in TE Brandon Pettigrew and a suddenly intriguing run game, and the Lions should have a terrific offense if QB Matthew Stafford stays on the field. Keeping him healthy will be the key, and it affects the value of the receivers.
Right now, you have to consider Young a No. 5 receiver for fantasy purposes at best. He might slide up to a four with a stellar training camp, but temper your enthusiasm with so many other mouths to feed.
