Buccaneers assistant head coach Jayson Kaiser was arrested on DUI charges early Wednesday morning, according to the St. Petersburg Times.
Kaiser was pulled over after driving with his lights off by Tampa police officers shortly after midnight. The newspaper reports that police stated Kaiser's "speech was slurred, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy and he smelled like alcohol." The 37-year-old denied drinking and refused to perform any field sobriety tests or take a Breathalyzer test, police said.
Kaiser, also known as Jay, is one of Raheem Morris' top assistants and often drives the head coach to events. Morris was at home during the time of the arrest.
The coach was still being held in jail on bail of $500 as of 8:30 a.m. ET Wednesday.
