The Bears will play in the NFL's preseason opener when they take on the Rams in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, it was announced Tuesday.
Chicago, which last played in the Hall of Fame Game in 2005, will face St. Louis on Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be televised nationally on NBC's "Sunday Night Football," and will be played one day after the enshrinement ceremony for former Bears DE Richard Dent and six others.
There are four other preseason games on the Bears' slate, including a Monday-night game against the Giants in the New Meadowlands Stadium on Aug. 22.
Head coach Lovie Smith's squad will also host the Bills (Aug. 11-14), visit the Titans (Aug. 25-28) and host the Browns (Sept. 1-4). The exact dates and times of those games have not yet been determined.
