Vladimir Ducasse had somewhat of a redshirt year in 2010 with the Jets, playing in only two games during his rookie year, but that will change in 2011. The way we hear it, Matt Slauson's emergence at left guard, which proved he's more than just a stopgap, means Ducasse's future will be at right tackle. With Damien Woody gone and Wayne Hunter not under contract, Ducasse is slated as the starter at the position, for now. He played left tackle at Massachusetts and got a lot of practice in at right tackle during his rookie year, and we hear the Jets never intended on playing Ducasse in his first season in the league. However, the spotlight will be on him whenever training camp begins. The Jets have arguably the best offensive line in the league, which should help Ducasse. He has a wide frame for right tackle at 6-5, 325 pounds, and will have to prove he can keep speed rushers away from QB Mark Sanchez.
