Florida OG-C Mike Pouncey doesn't get to choose who drafts him, but seems to have a good feeling he will be heading to Dallas.
Pouncey tweeted on Wednesday, "Headed back to pittsburgh.... Would be shocked if I wasn't in a dallas uniform nxt year! The draft is april 28th so we will see...."
The former Gator is the brother of Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey, and did tweet to Steelers fans that he would love to join Maurkice in Pittsburgh.
The Cowboys have the ninth overall pick in the draft and the Steelers have the 31st pick. Pouncey is projected to be a first-round pick, and PFW draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki had Pouncey going 19th in his latest mock draft.
The way we see it
Pouncey is widely considered to be the best interior lineman in the draft, but not good enough to go No. 9, and too good to slip to 31. So the Steelers and Cowboys would need to trade in opposite directions if they want him. Regardless of his prediction and comfort in Dallas, anything can happen between now and April 28, so it's way too early to declare that Pouncey will be a Cowboy.
